Oh... how cute!! Is he your pet? I didn't know that urchin could be a pet... What do they eat and where do they sleep?

We have urchins as well - except that they are not land terrestrial creatures but rather ocean dwelling variety called Ina and Vana - the Ina is nonpoisonous and in some places eaten as a delicasy with short nonsharp spines and then there is the vana - poisonous with long sharp spines but amazingly beautiful with flourescent colors. You urchin is cute =)

I worked with a guy who had something like this as a pet, but he called it a Hedgehog. I wonder if they are the same thing....

He live in our garden! There are 4 urchins...
they eat bugs, snakes, nuts, fruits, etc.
they sleep during the day... also they are dormant all winter...

Yes, they are the same... in my dictionary they are called "urchins", but in internet dictionary there are 2 names - urchin and hedgehog...
