50 people were forjudge from their houses in Imeretinskaya Lowland
Photo: Krasnaya Polyna village.In Sochi forjudge people from 2 houses in Adler in Imeretinskaya Lowland(link in Russian). People has only 24 houres to leave thier homes... According to plan, there will be luxurious hotel with yacht club for Olympics_2014 needs.
50 people (half of them children) lost their homes! I ached for the hurt these people!!!!
These people 15 years ago were refugees from Abkhazia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgian-Abkhazian_conflict)
Now all this people are Russian citizens.
As they don't have a place to go, town government moved to summer camp with no heating, water, gas and so on...

Hard to believe they would only be given 24 hours. It does not sound like all is well with the Russian government these days :(

It is terrible what big business gets away with in some places. In our country they would have had to find them suitable accommodation
How devasting to have no place to live specially after living in somewhere as beautiful as this valley
I was looking up Sochi for 2014 and came across your blog. My 15 yo son is hoping to make the games there. I found it interesting and sad that people are displaced because of they want to build fancy club there.
It's nice to get first hand perspective.

So, not much has changed in Russia and yet the world goes and kisses as (as they did with China) and hand them millions and Olympic recognition. I think I want to be a bad guy also - it pays well.
